Fall Classic 2013

ON A CLEAR DAY

What are the three things you would ask for to create the perfect ride?  Beautiful clear skies, incredible scenery and good company? Well if you rode the Waterville Fall Classic this year, you had just that. We couldn't have asked for anything better. Oh, but we got more anyway!! Brad Allen drove SAG this year and I can tell you right now, no one will ever top him. He had water stops every 10 miles, navigated our ride, had snickers bars at our breaks and to top it all off brought beer to go with the chili!! Thank you BRAD!!

 

Thank you for all that came and rode and made it such a special day.

Photos from Little Wenatchee ride Sunday, Oct 6.   Melanie Orchard (Wenatchee) in dark blue and Peggy Taggert (Los Angeles) in light blue.   2-lane road is Chumstick Loop north of Plain, narrow road is Little Wenatchee, west of Lake Wenatchee.  Has gate across so closed to traffic, but all downed trees have been cut through.

OK, here is a plan. One week from tonight, Oct 12, 6:00pm ride start. Meet at the Devil's Spur trailhead on Mission Ridge Rd (Graffiti Rock corner) ~5:30pm Route: up Devil's Spur to the Devils Gulch trailhead, Up road to Mission Ridge Trail. Down Mission Ridge to the DG crossover. Up Devils Gulch back to upper trailhead. Down Devils Spur to the start. It will be dark. Bring lights and a back up. It will be cold. Be prepared. It should be dry, if the forecast holds. Food after? Bring your own at this point. Who is in?
